This is a short poem I have written. It is called "Where the Road Splits". Feel free to comment on it, or even add your own poems.
I have come to a fork in the road,
I wish the right path would soon be showed.
For I do not know which to turn,
A fog of confusion, my head has to burn.
For this fog makes the destination unclear,
And if I choose wrong, myself I will sear.
I can no longer seperate the truth from lies,
For I know that a heart in pain always cries.
If I make a choice, then I can have a chance to undo it,
Even if the path I chose did not fit.
If only I knew how to clear fog that blurs,
But in my heart, doubt spurs.
For many paths lay in front,
And a clue on which one is right, I don't.
The last time the road split, I chose the wrong road,
Only the pain that she caused my heart has showed.
I want to see through the fog of doubt,
But I am unsure if I want to know which destination is out.
I do not want to be hurt again,
For I am not sure if my heart could take the pain.
I am uncertain if my heart could even mend,
If in pain it had to end.
My heart would live in sorrow,
Forever more it would feel hollow.
No matter which path I choose,
It seems like I will always loose,
Sight of that which I seek,
For my heart is lowely and weak.
So many paths ahead of me,
And only one behind me.
I do not wish to end up with no one by my side,
For in loneliness I would abide.
I had once lived a lie,
And for that, my heart did cry.
But now in loneliness I walk this road,
The way to go, I wish, to me, was shown.
